Childhood Immunisation

The service has recently changed and improved in response to COVID-19 requirements. Immunisation services are now provided on an appointment only basis. To book an immunisation appointment please phone 9356 6745.

Immunisation is the best way to protect yourself, your family and the community from preventable disease.

Social distancing and infection control guidelines are strongly adhered to at immunisation sessions. If you or your child is feeling unwell, has a temperature, in the last two weeks has travelled internationally or had contact with a person confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19 you must not attend any immunisation appointment.

From 1 July a new vaccine has been introduced for children under 2 years of age who identify as ATSI. Please phone the appointment number if this may affect you.

Hume City offers a free immunisation services for all children from 6 weeks to under 20 years of age and for some older individuals who require specific vaccines.

Day and evening sessions are conducted throughout the municipality on a variety of days.

You do not need a Medicare Card to receive free immunisations.

Travel immunisations are not available through council programs.
